Shaun of the Dead (2004)

Rating: 9.50/10

Last night, my subconscious gave me one hell of a show. A grindhouse-like double feature.

The first dream was about my ex-girlfriend. It was the usual "I miss you so much, I was wrong, I love you" bullshit that could get you depressed for weeks. It felt very real, it was one of those dreams that you could swear that it was real. The smells, the feeling of her lips, everything felt... right. It was even with bright colors, like the end of a romantic comedy starring Ryan Reynolds or Mathew whatever-his-name-is. It had one of those "Oh, I love you so much" scenes!.

The reason why I'm not depressed, listening to Good Charlotte and trying to call her is because of the second dream.

First of all, it was filmed (yeah, filmed) in a dark, gritty, noir-esque color, with rain and thunders and the whole shit. In it, I was sitting in the middle of a big fucking mansion. Thinking. Contemplating. Remembering.

Then, Michael Caine came and said, in his lovely and beautiful British voice:

"Master Wayne, it seems like Gordon needs you".
And I looked up trough the window and saw the signal calling me. Calling for justice.
I answered "No, Gotham needs me"

I was Batman.

And it was the most awesome dream I've ever had.

Atencion

Frases (Episodio V)

Jim Halpert: Hey Andy, by any chance did you see Battlestar Galactica last night?
Andy Bernard: No, I didn't. Is it any good?
Jim Halpert: Actually not. It was really so-so.
Dwight Schrute: Okay...
[Jim threatens with the stopwatch]
Jim Halpert: I mean like all the crazy monsters and stuff, you know like Klingons and Wookiees and all of that...
[Dwight turns to respond, but Jim shows the stopwatch again]
Jim Halpert: I'm sorry, Dwight, did you want to say something?
Andy Bernard: Was that anything like the original Battlestar Galactica?
Jim Halpert: You know it's weird, it's practically a shot-for-shot remake.
Andy Bernard: Really? Huh... that's cool.
Jim Halpert: Yeah, and the story is kinda bland. It's about this guy, Dumbledore Calrissian, who's got to take The Ring back to Mordor.
Andy Bernard: Really? That doesn't sound right.

Enjoy the escrache (and my new hair style!):

(Micaela, Sofi, Zombie Paul y Missy)

"¿Nosotros? ¿Borrachos? No way, José!"

"Pull my finger!"
(Porque claramente tenía que hacer ese chiste)

"¿A QUIEN MIERDA LE DECIS QUE GENESIS CON PHIL COLLINS ES MALO?"
(si, fue una conversación de esa noche)

"No, wait, you actually pulled my finger!"

So fucking glad I held onto my copy.
If you ever do find it, be patient. The game looks like complete shit...until you start to get comfortable with web swinging. That is why people are still talking about this game.
When I first bought this, I began having dreams in which I was web swinging. That's how good it is.

Nothing can beat the exhilaration that comes from sprinting, as fast as humanly possible, off of a roof-top and FLINGING your body over the edge. You fall, faster and faster, until your vision begins to blur. The wind whips past you so quickly that it's sound becomes deafening. You can't see or hear anything. All you are aware of is the ground rushing towards you- and you think that these will be your final moments. But as you extend your hand an unbreakable lifeline springs from it, and you realize that this is only the beginning. Your downward speed is suddenly reversed and you find yourself catapulted through the air! You've suddenly turned your fall's momentum into a mighty force that moves you through this city.
Tiny ants call out to you from below. Some call out blessings while others curse your name. But they hardly matter as they slowly fade from view and you reach the peak of your swing. You let go of your web and, just for a moment, you hang frozen in the air. High above the noisy streets the wind stops whistling in your ears and you can see the sun setting over the skyscrapers. It's a quiet, serene moment. One that is followed by an even more perilous plummet than before. One that no man could survive. But you are not any other man. You turn peril into power. You turn falling into flight. You are Spider-Man. And you make gravity your bitch.
